Education Pathways Working Group

ExpandED School’s Educator Career Development initiative is relaunching our information sharing discussion group for this school year. Join me, education leaders and practitioners to discuss and share information about issues that affect our field.  Guests will present on the scheduled topics and we encourage participants to share information from their workspaces, as well.

Using last year’s Power of Us: The Youth Fields Workforce survey and the National Afterschool Association’s Thriving OST Workforce Initiatives’ Out-of-School Time Job Quality Standards as references, we will explore how our community-based organizations and schools are working to meet the needs of the workforce and where there are opportunities for improvement.

In this session, we discussed our comfort with using artificial intelligence (AI), how we use it, and learned how to gauge our AI readiness. The presentation included definitions for generative AI and how it is used in education spaces.
