Sara Edelson

Education Consultant, Mentor, and Instructional Coach

Sara Edelson is an educational consultant, mentor and instructional coach that helps design and implement capacity-building initiatives for school leaders, mentors and new teachers. Most recently, Sara served as a Program Consultant for the New Teacher Center where she supported the design and facilitation of professional learning, trained mentors and beginning teachers in grades K-12, and assisted in program development and recruitment. Sara has worked as a High School Social Studies Teacher for the NYC Department of Education where she served in a variety of education roles, from teacher to department chair to instructional coach. She also was an adjunct professor in New York University's Social Studies Teacher Education Program, as well as a Student Teacher Supervisor in both the Hunter Graduate School of Education and New York University. Sara holds a B.A. from Rutgers University in Political Science, and History and an M.A. from New York University in Social Studies Education.
